Paloma Blanca X

Paloma Blanca, which means “white dove” in Spanish, is a series I created around the question of whether we, as people, as nations, and as a world, can truly arrive at peace and purity. These are two things I believe are very difficult to achieve in life, yet they remain deeply worth seeking. In each work, the white dove becomes a symbol of that hope, while the figures look directly outward, inviting the viewer to reflect on their own search for peace.

I often use leaves in my paintings to represent growth, renewal, and new beginnings the idea that when one season passes, another begins. A leaf may fall, but the tree continues to live and grow. In this series, those leaves remind us that even through change, loss, and transformation, something new and meaningful can emerge.
